Students who must complete in-person enrollment
The following groups of students are **excluded from auto-enrollment** and must complete in-person enrollment at the EIDUS secretariat within the **deadlines** set in the doctoral enrollment calendar:
- Newly admitted doctoral students who must complete **additional training** by agreement of the academic committee of the doctoral program.
- Those who have obtained new admission after having been **permanently withdrawn** from the same doctoral program in which they formally enrolled for thesis supervision in previous academic years.
- Visiting doctoral students
- Students who have requested **temporary leave or leave due to illness, pregnancy, and other causes** provided for in current regulations and who did not formally enroll in the previous academic year.
Required Documentation
- Application for doctoral thesis academic supervision enrollment duly completed.
- Where applicable, "SEPA direct debit order" duly completed and signed by the account holder.
- Documentary and supervision commitment agreement duly completed. Also available in English: Agreement of engagement and supervision (EN)
- Certified photocopy or original and photocopy for comparison of the degree with which access to doctoral studies is obtained: University Master's, Graduate or equivalent, Doctor, Licenciado, Architect, Engineer or equivalent, Research Sufficiency, DEA, Specialization in Health Sciences or formative period of a transitory program. Official certification of studies may be requested from students who require it due to their access route. Students with foreign degrees that are not homologated will present the prior authorization from the Rector of the University of Seville along with the study accreditation certificate.
- Accreditation of previous Official University Studies (Bachelor's Degree, Licenciatura, Diplomatura, etc.). The degree of previous studies (or receipt of payment of issuance fees) will be required.
- One original, high-quality passport-sized photograph, with the student's name, surnames, and DNI, NIE (or, failing that, Passport) on the back.
- DNI (Spanish students), NIE (foreign students), Residence Rights Certificates or European Union Citizen card. Exceptionally, foreign students may provide their Passport, only if they do not have a NIE.
- Students benefiting from scholarships, grants or research contracts awarded by official bodies or other calls that meet the requirements established in article 21 of Law 14/2011, of June 1, on Science, Technology and Innovation, will submit a copy of the credential of said situation, especially when the exemption from payment of enrollment is expressly included in the corresponding call. The credential must state the body financing the student and the amount granted.
- If the student is entitled to free or reduced enrollment fees, they must justify it with a certified photocopy of the supporting documentation (except for Social Action aid).
- Admitted students who hold an official University Master's degree or equivalent completed at another University not belonging to the EHEA, not homologated or without a declaration of equivalence to the Master's or Doctor academic level, must request prior authorization from the Rector prior to admission by submitting the Request for prior authorization and the study accreditation certificate via Registry.
In case of having the definitive concession of the prior authorization from the Rector of the US, a copy of it must be provided. If the concession is provisional, the duly legalized and translated documentation that is pending to continue with the prior authorization process must be provided.
- Application for doctoral thesis academic supervision enrollment duly completed.
- DNI (Spanish students), NIE (foreign students), Residence Rights Certificates or European Union Citizen card. Exceptionally, foreign students may provide their Passport, only if they do not have a NIE.
- Where applicable, "SEPA direct debit order" duly completed and signed by the account holder.
- Certified photocopy or original and photocopy for certification, if the student is entitled to free or reduced enrollment fees according to the causes established in the Rectoral Resolution regulating enrollment norms. Students benefiting from scholarships, grants or research contracts awarded by official bodies or other calls that meet the requirements established in article 21 of Law 14/2011, of June 1, on Science, Technology and Innovation, will submit a copy of the credential of said situation, especially when the exemption from payment of enrollment is expressly included in the corresponding call. Regarding documents issued abroad
- They must be official and issued by competent authorities, in accordance with the legal system of the country concerned.
- They must be accompanied, where applicable, by the corresponding official translation into Spanish.
- In case of doubt about the authenticity, validity or content of the documents submitted, the necessary steps may be taken to verify them, as well as to contact the competent issuing authority to validate doubtful aspects.
Visiting student enrollment is a non-academic enrollment modality undertaken for personal interest and cannot be combined with ordinary enrollment in the same degree program. Recognition as a visiting student will allow temporary access to the University of Seville's services available for your activity and will only entitle you to the issuance of the corresponding certification. Activities carried out in the program as a visiting student will not entitle you to obtain a university degree.

- M03B-Application for external student enrollment duly completed.
- DNI (Spanish students), NIE (foreign students), Residence Rights Certificates or European Union Citizen card. Exceptionally, foreign students may provide their Passport, only if they do not have a NIE.
- One passport-sized photograph.
- Accreditation of current enrollment in doctoral studies at your home university.
- Document proving health coverage in Spain.
All documentation must be official and presented, where applicable, legalized through regulatory channels and officially translated.
